Fermin Romero de Torres

Hello there, fellow mortals of the human world. Fermin Romero de Torres, at your service. You want to know more about me you say? Where to begin, well lets start off where my life started having meaning. Living as a homeless on the streets was hard. That is, until one day I stumbled across Mr. Daniel Sempere, may the Emperor of The Heavens bless his soul. We had a talk about my past life, he sat there just listening to my problems. Then, after seeming time would fly right by me, he appeared to me again. This time, offering me a job at his father's book store! What luck! Some could say that I am a deep philosopher of some sort. I could never repay what Daniel and his father have done for me. All I can give is undying service to them, they are my best friends forever more.

Julian Carax

I have selected my book ''The Shadow of The Wind" by Julian Carax, According to the tradition everyone who comes to this secret place is allow to take a book and protect it forever. The same night I started reading it and it capture my imagination, after reading this book I decided to investigate this unknown author I found out that he doesn't have any more books left because they have all been burned. That means I have the only copy and I must treasure it. This mysterious man Lain Coubert has dedicated to ruin all of Carax's work, But in his book Coubert is the name of the Devil. Despite the danger and complications I'll go through, I'm determinated to get to the bottom of his story. Along the way I learned all his past. My life is quite similar to Julian Carax.

Mr. Sempere

Good Morning, Good Afternoon, and Good Evening. I am Daniel's father, Mr. Sempere. I am very proud to have him as my son. I am a hurt man who has lost his one and only beloved, my wife. I will never love another the way I love her, still. My whole reason of existence is my son, Daniel. Books are the main interest in my life. My "Cemetery of Forgotten Books" has been passed down from generation to generation. I'm forever grateful for my book store, it motivates me every morning to wake up and do a thing that I absolutely love. Even though I have lost my other half, I am slowly mending my shattered heart because of the love I have for my son and for my bookstore.

Daniel Sempere

Hello there stranger, I suppose you would like to learn a bit more about me. Well for starters my name is Daniel Sempere. My mother died during the civil war due to a sickness called cholera, maybe it was because I was still young but for some reason I just didn't want to believe that she was really gone. What I remember the most about my childhood was back in the summer of 1945 when I was ten years old, my father decided to take me to a place called "The cemetery of Forgotten Books", he told me to keep it a secret that I was even going. I'll always remember what he said to me that time, he said "This is a place of Mystery, Daniel, a sanctuary. Every book, every volume you see here, has a soul. The soul of the person who wrote it and of those who read it and lived and dreamed with it." I chose the book called "The Shadow of The Wind" by Julian Carax. I was fascinated by this story, therefore making it my sole mission to discover more works by this author. On my journey, I discovered more than you could even imagine.. even experiencing my first true love, Clara Barcelo.
